Did you know that avery.ca has its own FREE design tool? Avery Design & Print Online is a free, easy to use tool to help you create professional-looking labels, cards, and printable crafts.
If you’re using Avery products this tool is designed to make the process simple. Choose from hundreds of templates, upload your own artwork, add barcodes, and switch between printing at home or ordering professionally printed labels in just a few clicks.
Here is how to make it work for you:
Step 1: Visit Avery Design & Print Online
Begin by visiting Avery Design & Print. If you already know which Avery product you’d like to work with, simply enter the product number to get started. Otherwise, you can browse our collection of labels, cards, and printable crafts to choose what you want to design.
Step 2: Pick your template
Search for a template design or start with a blank canvas if you prefer you want to make a completely customized creation.
Step 3: Personalize your Template
There are two areas to customize to make the design of your labels, cards, other items one of a kind:
Edit text
Find the options toolbar at the left of the screen and select the Text button to access text editing options. You can easily modify placeholder text using the Easy Text Tool, or customize your design further by adjusting the font, size, color, and alignment. You can also take things a step further by using the Curved Text tool or by adjusting the line spacing to create a look that works best for your project.
Edit images
To modify images, click the image icon in the options toolbar. You can replace, add, or remove images as needed. Our editing tools also let you adjust transparency, change colors, and resize while maintaining the original aspect ratio or unlocking it for freeform adjustments.
Edit individual labels
Want different designs on the same sheet? Pick the Edit One button in the Navigator window on the right side of the screen. Click on any label to make changes. This is perfect for creating product variations, such as different scents for a body scrub. You can slightly modify an existing design or create a completely new one for each label.
To use your design later, click Save, name your project, and store it in your free Avery account or on your computer.
Step 6: Apply your design to additional products
Easily apply the same design to other Avery products. Log in to your Avery account and go to Projects. Select your saved design, then choose Apply Design to Another Product from the pop-up window. You’ll be directed to the template selection menu, where you can pick from a variety of Avery products.
If you’re ordering professionally printed labels, select Custom Printing under the Avery logo. If you’re printing at home, make sure Print Yourself is selected.
